Washington, D.C. — House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Cathy Rodgers (R-WA) released the following statement in response to President Biden failure to address how his administration has colluded with Big Tech companies to censor Americans:  

“President Joe Biden and his administration have become the censorship party. They’re actively silencing American voices in order to control the narrative to benefit their political agenda—we have the receipts. 

“House Energy and Commerce Republicans have repeatedly condemned these troubling actions carried out by progressive administration officials and their cozy relationships with Big Tech. We are demanding accountability for their coordinated censorship and efforts to intimidate Big Tech to police content online. These actions are an attack on the First Amendment and our fundamental right to free speech. We will not allow this administration to be the arbiters of truth online.”
