Chairs Rodgers & Latta Notice Legislative Hearing on Advancing American Innovation in Next-gen Satellite Communication

Washington, D.C. — House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) and Communications and Technology Subcommittee Chair Bob Latta (R-OH) today noticed a legislative hearing to discuss solutions to unleash American innovation in next generation satellite communications. 

“The burgeoning space industry is the next frontier of innovation and entrepreneurship. We need to make sure America, not China, is at the forefront of ushering in a new era of investment and innovation in this critical sector. We look forward to our first Communications and Technology Subcommittee legislative hearing this Congress to discuss how to streamline our regulatory processes to unleash innovation while also ensuring our laws fully protect the American public.” 

This legislative hearing is titled “Liftoff: Unleashing Innovation in Satellite Communications Technologies.”
