House Passes SMART IoT Act and Two Bills to Advance Public Health

WASHINGTON, DC – The House of Representatives today passed three bipartisan Energy and Commerce Committee bills. Collectively, the bills promote the use of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and advance public health.
Passing the House today was:
H.R. 6032, the SMART IoT Act, authored by #SubDCCP Chairman Bob Latta (R-OH) and Rep. Peter Welch (D-VT), passed the House by voice vote.
H.R. 6032 directs the Secretary of Commerce to conduct a study on the state of the internet-connected devices industry.
